The Future of Gaming: Indie Gems Over AAA Titles

I started watching Playstation's showcase for their video games and I was only interested in one game so far and that was a Sonic racing game and that was it.  The rest of the preview I was just tired of watching it.  To me indie games get me going.  Not only are they great but budget-friendly as well.  I'm not looking to buy any more DLCs from game developers.  I'm pretty much done with that.  So back on the subject of indie games.

What I want from games is simplicity. I prefer not to play open-world games or anything like that; I find them overrated, and I simply don't have the time for them. I've been focused on indie games because I love discovering what resonates with me, rather than following current trends. Just because something is popular doesn’t mean it’s good.

My advice is to find a good indie game that you will enjoy. The AAA titles aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. I’ve come to realize that I will rediscover my childhood joy when I find a game that truly resonates with me.  Thanks to all the indie game devs for keeping the games coming!

Wrapping up this blog post, I can't stress enough how indie games have reignited my passion for gaming. The PlayStation showcase might have had its highs and lows, but it only solidified my love for the indie scene. These gems offer simplicity, creativity, and a budget-friendly way to immerse myself in the gaming world without getting lost in endless DLCs and convoluted open worlds.

So, to fellow gamers out there, don't just follow the hype. Dive into the world of indie games and discover the joy and uniqueness they bring. You'll find that sometimes, the most unassuming games can provide the most memorable experiences. Here's to all the indie developers out there—keep the magic alive!  Game on! 🎮✨
